I have renamed the files in my cataloge. The files are Tiffs. I want to export them as Jpgs into a different folder and have the jpgs use the new name given the Tiffs. However, the exported jpgs revert back to the original file name. Am I missing something? I am running Lightroom Classic 14.2 on a Windows 10 machine with 32gigs of RAM.

I am using Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 on Windows 10. I want to remove one of the generative replacements that I did. but it will not go away. I right click on the idon and chose remove, but nothing happens.

I agree. Not only that, but Lightroom's search functions do not follow industry standard SQL query language and are limited in functionality. I have complained about it for years, but Adobe does not care. I once heard their director of software deveoplent say he did not use key words and did not think they were important. I am guessing his photos are of limited scope so it is easy to find the ones he wants.

Thank you for the idea. I don't know what to think about the coordinates on the videos. The videos were taken in Belfast, Ireland, so they were not that far off for it to be an easting or northing error. To make thing more confusing, the coordinated of all the still pictures are correct.

There are three videos with the exact same coordinates. I don't know why, but the coordinates that my phone put on them puts them in the middle of the Irish Sea. I have tried selecting just one, but as soon as I click on the marker, Lightroom selects all three. I can seperate them by entering arbitrary coordinates manually. The snaping problem, I figured out, was caused when I moved one marker, LR would snap everyting that was selected to the same marker. I did not realize, at the time, that more than one video was selected.

You may be right. Sometimes Lightroom will not load a map at all and I get a message that it can't load Google maps.

I have tried manualy entering coordinates to seperate them. That works until I move a couple of them. Then Lightroom will sometimes snap them together even thought they should be miles apart. Right now the map module is so messed up, it is hard to test anything. Sometimes it won't even show a map and says it can't load Google maps. I will probaly have to find the correct coordinates of where the photos should be and manualy enter those.

I should have given my setup details too. I also checked the Task Manager and it showed the CPU and disk had little or no activity, and memory was at 15GB which is not unusual on my system. If you cannot read the screen capture, I have an i7 6700K processor running at 4.00GHz and 32GB of DDR4 Sdram memory. Windows 10 version 1703. The TIFF file I am using is also 16 Bit.

Is there a limit to how large a file can be and lightroom Classic CC still be able to create a 1:1 preview? I have a Tiff that is 26246 x 2899 pixels. When I try to view it at 1:1 or any other size except "Fit" in the Library module, it refuses to draw. I can view it in any size in the Develop module or Photoshop, but not the Library module. Does the Library module have a size limit, and if so, what is it?

You need to update the process to Version 4. If you see a lightning bolt by your adjustment brush you can click on that, or go to the Settings tab and click on Update Process. The Process menu below that will tell you what process you are using. If it is not Version 4, click on Version 4 and it will update to the process.

In Lightroom 7, in the Develop module, make sure you are using the current process which is Version 4. If you see a small lightning bolt next to your adjustment brushes, you do not have the current version. Click on the lightning bolt and Lightroom will offer to update to the current version. You can also find you what version you have by looking in the Settings menu under Process. There is also a menu option to update to the current process. In the Camera Calibration area in the adjustment panel on the right, it also tells you what version you are using. Note that all images that were in lightroom before the new version came out must be updated to the new process.

The problem went away after I increased the brush size. I then went over the same area with the larger brush and realized the the smaller brush size had been putting down dark gray instead of black. I was able to reduce the brush size again and it still worked. I did not make any other changes.

I have a picture that has a telephone pole in it that I want to remove. I am using a layer mask to mask it out and reveal another layer to fill in the space. However, after I mask out the pole, I can still see a ghost image of it in the picture. I have check that my black is really black. The mode is Normal. Opacity is 100%. Flow is 100%. Smoothing is 10%, hardness is 91%. I have the most recent version of photoshop, 19.0 version. I have a Nvidia Quadro M4000 graphics card. The driver is up to date. The desktop is running Windows 10, has a Skylake processor and 32 GB of RAM. I never noticed this problem before up dating Photoshop this week.

I created one new collection set and moved all my collections from the old Buildings collection set into the new one. The new collection set shows all the previews and the total on the film strip is correct. The old collection set must have become corrupted somehow. I have no idea what could have done it.

Look for "Version 4". Another place to look is the Settings menu in the top left hand corner. Under that you should see an option called "Update to Current Process" that should bring you up to date. There is also a Process option with a submenu that should include a "Version 4" option.

The current Lightroom CC is, in most respects, a step backwards for Photoshop elements. Except for its cloud capabilities, the new Lightroom CC is less powerful than Photoshop Elements. As to your point 4, On1 and Correl have products that are becoming competitive with Lightroom and Photoshop. If Adobe does not take database management seriously soon, people serious about their work may start migrating to other products.
